Anthrax and Heroin use
The Guardian report of 14th September that the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, and the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction reported that Europe was again in the grip of an anthrax outbreak, probably linked to contaminated heroin. The report goes on to highlight the often lack of interest in heroin users in contracting Anthrax. The cravings and compulsion to use often far outweigh any potential risks of contracting anthrax.
