Cannabis risk and kids
Irish psychiatrists have warned of the dangers of memory loss as a result of frequent cannabis use.
They were responding to a recent study from New Zealand which found that cannabis can lower the IQ of teenagers and cause memory impairment.
Dr Colin O'Gara, consultant psychiatrist at the addictions unit in St John of God Hospital in Dublin, said the research added weight to the growing body of evidence and awareness of the problems relating to the drug.
